15 Days Rara Lake Trek Itinerary

This 15 Days Rara Lake Trek itinerary takes you through the beautiful landscapes of western Nepal. Starting from Kathmandu, the journey combines scenic mountain flights, traditional villages, Rara National Park, and the breathtaking Rara Lake before returning to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m / 4,264ft)

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Meet your trekking guide and attend a pre-trip briefing.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing – UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Explore Kathmandu’s famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj (150m) – 1 Hour

Enjoy a scenic flight to Nepalgunj, the gateway to western Nepal. Overnight in Nepalgunj.

Day 04: Fly from Nepalgunj to Jumla (2,540m) – 20 Minutes

Take a spectacular mountain flight to Jumla and prepare for the trekking adventure.

Day 05: Trek from Jumla to Chere Chaur (3,055m)

Begin your trek through picturesque villages, pine forests, and terraced farmland.

Day 06: Trek from Chere Chaur to Chalachaur (2,980m)

Day 07: Trek from Chalachaur to Sinja Valley (2,490m)
