The Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most beautiful and rewarding trekking adventures. It takes you around Mount Manaslu (8,163m), the eighth-highest mountain in the world. This trek offers spectacular mountain views, traditional villages, ancient Buddhist culture, and peaceful Himalayan landscapes.
Your journey begins in Kathmandu, where you can explore several UNESCO World Heritage Sites before travelling to the Manaslu region. From the very beginning, the trek offers a perfect combination of natural beauty, local culture, and adventure.
The Manaslu Circuit Trek follows scenic mountain trails through forests, rivers, waterfalls, and remote villages. Along the way, you will meet local Gurung and Tibetan communities and experience their unique traditions and warm hospitality.
Moreover, the region is rich in wildlife and plant life. As you gain altitude, the landscape changes from green hills to snow-covered mountains, making every day different and exciting.
The highlight of the trek is crossing Larkya La Pass (5,106m), one of the highest and most beautiful mountain passes in Nepal. From the top, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Manaslu, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, and many other Himalayan peaks.
Although the pass is challenging, it is also one of the most rewarding parts of the Manaslu Circuit Trek.
Proper acclimatization is an important part of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. Therefore, the itinerary includes enough time for your body to adjust to the increasing altitude.
Most of the trail follows well-established mountain paths. However, trekking above 3,000 meters requires good physical fitness and careful preparation. With experienced guides and a well-planned itinerary, the trek is suitable for anyone in good health and with a positive attitude.
