Sirubari Village Tour

Situated on a plateau, just beyond Panauti above 40 km away from Kathmandu, is a small village called Balthali at the junction of Roshi and Ladku Khola rivers. This village is an outstanding place of isolation for relaxation amidst a forest with terraced rice fields and ochre thatched farm houses. With snowy peaks of Dorjee Lhakpa, Langtang and whole range of mountain provides clear view on the northern horizon. Whist the backyard is dominated by high hills of lush green Maharabharat Range which makes Balthal village – a perfect place for solitude and for relaxation. It looks like the countryside stands still, unperturbed, lagging behind in the development.

Day to Day Itinerary


Day01:

Arrival Kathmandu & transfer to hotel. In the evening briefing about next day Kathmandu sightseeing program & tour to Balthali village. Overnight at hotel

Day 02:

Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley
Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley which includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath , Boudhanath, the biggest Buddhist Stupa, the 2000 years old Swyambhunath Monkey Temple and visit an ancient city of Bhaktapur. From here we continue drive to Dhulikhel and overnight in Dhulikhel. Here, you will see the Newari culture and Newari style houses and living style of local people. Overnight at Dhulikhel in a resort

Day 03:

Hike Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha and then to Balthali (2400m.)
After hiking for 3 hours through local villages and rice terraces we will arrive to Namo Buddha a scared Buddhist place where Lord Buddha is believed to have saved the life of a tiger dying from hunger, by giving him his flesh. From this holy place we walk another 3 hours to the Balthali village. Overnight in Resort

Day 04:

Explore around a Balthali Village
You can explore around a typical Buddhist village Danda Gaon where a Buddhist community inhabits. Similarly we can walk to Pada gaon from here you can have a majestic view of the whole Himalayan ranges to north and beautiful green forest to Mahabharat Range. After having a pleasant walk we return to a resort.

Day 05:

Hike Balthali to Panauti & drive to Kathmandu
After breakfast we continue hike to the typical Newari village of Panauti . This traditional Newar settlement has a particularly rural character and a variety of farm products are offered for sale throughout the town. Panauti is popular for having a large number of fascinating temples. From Panauti we drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu

Day 06:

Final departure
After breakfast, relaxing or shopping and then our airport representative will drop you at Tribhuwan international airport for your onward journey.
